Family return home from France to beat looming quarantine rules

One woman and her family have decided to head home early from their holiday inFrance having predicted the quarantine restrictions in advance.

EmmelineOwens, 45, from Battersea, was staying in Antibes in the south of France withher husband and two children, eight and 11 years old.

She said thatquarantining was “not really” an option for them as they wanted their childrento be able to return to school shortly.

“They haven’t had much of an educationin the last six months,” she told the PA news agency.

“If we can get in todaythey will be able to return to school when they’re due to go back in a coupleof weeks, so, yes, it (quarantine) wasn’t much of an option."
