New York Governor extends eviction moratorium by 30 days

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday (August 6) extended a statewide moratorium on eviction by 30 days, offering temporary relief to thousands of New Yorkers at risk of losing their homes.

Earlier on Thursday, hundreds demonstrated and marched to Brooklyn Eviction Court calling for a ban on evictions and for rent to be cancelled.
