Watch: Five Rafale jets enter Indian airspace, escorted by Su-30 MKIs

The Rafale contingent from France entered the Indian airspace.

The five jets were flanked by two Su-30MKIs.

The jets will be landing at their home base in Haryana's Ambala today.

Earlier, the Rafale contingent made contact with an Indian Navy warship.

The contingent established contact with INS Kolkata deployed in Arabian Sea.

INS Kolkata welcomed the Rafale contingent to the Indian ocean.

The Rafale leader replied, "Many thanks.

Most reassuring to have an Indian warship guarding seas." INS Kolkata also wished the Rafale contingent a happy landing, "May you touch the sky with glory.

Happy landings." Five jets out of 36 ordered by the IAF from France are en route to Ambala.

The new aircraft is expected to significantly augment the aerial offensive capabilities of the Indian Air Force.
