Butte County moves closer to being added onto state's COVID-19 watch list

Butte County Public Health officials are warning residents that due to the recent spike in virus cases, it could be placed on the state's watch list at any moment.

Today's order includes every county in california, not just the counties on the state's watchlist.

It means no dine- restaurants.

No indoor wineries and tasting rooms. movie theaters are out.

And now family entertainment, like bowling alleys.

No indoor zoos and museums and no cardrooms. bars, breweries and pubs are banned, indoor or outdoor.

Unless serving food.

Business owners in butte county that do not have outdoor seating say theyll be missing out on the customers.

"oh we're definenlty taking a stepback.

You know business started to come in there were happy people.

Now we're locking our doors again and its gonna be delivery and pickup curbside.

We're losing that oppurtunity to see our customers."

The 30 counties that are on the states watchlist including glenn, colusa, sutter, and yuba -- must now shutdown fitness centers, worship services, and nail and hair salons.

Health officials said today, butte county could end up on that watch list at any moment based on the skyrocketing numbers of new cases.
