Stranded drivers were rescued from their cars after one of north London's busiest roads flooded due to a burst water pipe.

Footage shared on social media shows cars driving through a torrent water gushing across the North Circular at the Brent Cross interchange in north west London on Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade told the Standard that eight people got stuck in their cars and had to be pulled free.

No injuries were reported.
