Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala wrote a letter to PM Modi seeking his intervention to probe into alleged role of Kerala CM's Office in gold smuggling through the diplomatic baggage of UAE Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram.
On Sunday, customs department seized 30 kilos of gold smuggled in diplomatic baggage.
Ramesh also demanded that the investigation be handed over to CBI.
