New York City business are a mixture of re-opening and shutting down for good

In New York City, it's a tale of two types of small business as some are planning their re-opening as the COVID-19 restrictions ease in the hardest-hit city in America on June 8.

Looting has hurt businesses greatly that lost revenue.

"There is nothing left inside,” said Yogesh Shaneil, a store owner.

"Some people go beyond extreme.

If we are protesting we are protesting, we don’t have to break people’s place of business," said another store owner.

Other businesses that survived are planning to reopen amid the pandemic.
