The Duchess of Cornwall has joined Taika Waititi for the latest instalment of his charity reading of Roald Dahl's "James and the Giant Peach."

The sixth episode, released on Wednesday (27 May) sees Camilla take on the role of the Ship's Captain, starring alongside Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o and actor Josh Gad.

The series is narrated by New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi.

According to a press release, the Duchess of Cornwall is taking on her first ever character role and at one point reads: "Holy cats!

Send a message to the Queen at once!

The country must be warned!" Camilla joins a cast of Hollywood stars who are all taking part, via videolink from their living rooms, in the coronavirus lockdown charity reading.

In previous episodes actors such as Liam and Chris Hemsworth, Meryl Streep, Ryan Reynolds and Benedict Cumberbatch have all lent their voices to the much-loved characters.

With big shoes to fill, the Duchess of Cornwall seems to start off apprehensive in her reading.

She tells Waititi: "I'm thrilled to do it.

Not that I'm much of an actor, but I shall do my best."
