Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu has been accused of violating the coronavirus lockdown by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy's YSR Congress Party after he returned to the state from Telangana on Monday by road even as domestic flights were resumed across India.

Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda was at the centre of a controversy after he did not undergo quarantine on arrival from Delhi by a flight in Bengauru.

The 67-year-old minister defended it, saying he came under the exempted category being in-charge of pharmaceuticals, an essential sector.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on Monday in murderof nine people in Telangana's Warangal district last week.

The bodies of six from a family and three others - two from Bihar and one from Tripura- were found in a well in a village about 150 km from state's capital Hyderabad.

The accused killed them to cover up the murderof a woman who went missing in March.
