The tiny pups, each currently measuring around just 12 cm-long (around 4.7 inches), were spotted by keepers along with their protective parents, mother Hope and father Cooper.

The pups, whose gender is not yet known, are believed to have been born in February but displayed outside for the first time only recently.

According to the zoo, the dwarf mongoose is Africa's smallest carnivore, as well as the smallest of the mongoose species, and can only grow to around 30 cm (12 inches).
