Businesses are changing their in store experience for customers amid the pandemic, if they can find them.

Businesses are starting to settle into this new normal as we all navigate through the coronavirus pandemic.

And for many, its quite the adjustment both for the retailers and the customers.

Kq2's ron johsnon spoke to some businesses across town today, he joins us live now to explain, ron?

That's right alan, retailers are having to completely change their in store experiences for customers, that is if they even find them in the first place.

<<by now you probably don't need us to tell you that the shopping around town is a different now.

With retailers big and small starting to welcome customers again, many are finding different ways to ensure they're safe.

Safety is still the for them as well as for us and so that's why we're taking a sure people are comfortable shopping with us best buy is changing their in store experience switching to an appointment only format inside the store encouraging shoppers to set up online first.

The tech chain tells us they wanted to strike the right balance between customer service and safety.

There are some purchases customers need to make where they might want to talk to someone face to face.

Now moving forward we have a more efficient way of helping people get that level of support that they need.

While some retailers are focused on regulating traffic,others like, rally house where you'll remember fans flocked to months ago following the cheifs' super bowl, are now mostly deserted.

It's usually pretty slow, people just come in and go they too have seen their online traffic rise and are taking steps to keep their store clean and safe.

We have to come in extra early before open to sanitze the whole storewe have to wipe down everything sanitize everything.

The pandemic coming on the heels of their best sales ever, now they're adjusting just like everyone else.

Staff there say they couldn't have imagined anything like this after after such a high.

Meanwhile here at best buy staff say the will be calling customers who set up an appointment beforehand to see how they're feeling before they go inside.
