The employee at la roma's in rome that tested positive for hep "a" also worked at the camden location.

The free vaccination clinic that was set up for late this afternoon... vaccinated 450 people in over an hour....and they ran out...turning people away..

None the hepatitis a vaccination is effective if given within two weeks of the exposure... the dates of possible exposure at the la roma's in rome are april 27th and may 4th.

At the camden location... april 30th and may 1st.

Rome memorial hospital decided to offer drive through hepatitis a vaccination clinics.

"we want to do whats right for the community we have no idea it was going to be met with so many people."

She says they started with 250 doses, but when people started lining up for the 4 o'clock clinic at 1 o'clock... they knew they needed more.

And they ran out in less that 2 hours.

"if you look behind me the line is down the street, no one would have anticipated this."

And people were still showing up after they ran out of the vaccine.

"just have to take the precautionary measures, that's what i was here to do but ill come back thursday."

Brady wood says he ate food from la roma's a few days after the exposure dates, but he says it's better to be safe than sorry.

"i wasn't sure how they were cleaning and just wanted to be safe."

I spoke to the owner of la roma's in rome.

He says they are open, and it is safe to eat there.

"for the past 30 years we have exercise cleanliness in our restaurant at all times, our customers understand that and they should feel the same safety as they did before."

And - he says the employee was a dishwasher.

"we corrected the issues, this employee was a dishwasher, he did not handle any food and he is no longer with us."

If you do believe you've been exposed, it's important to remember you will need 2 doses for long-lasting protection.

"this is the emergent does we will be telling people to follow up with her health department in around six months to get that second dose so that they can get full protection" the next clinic will be held at chestnut commons from noon to 4.
