STEVEN PRITHCARD RUNNING TOWARDS FINISHING-LINE, CROSSING FINISHING-LINE, CROWD OF NEIGHBOURS CHEERING STORY: A resident of the English city of Durham, Steven Pritchard, kept running for twelve hours on Sunday (May 3), to raise money for the country's National Health Service (NHS).

Pritchard explained on his fundraising site that he planned to run laps around his estate for 12 hours as this is how long a nurse works on shift.

He was inspired to take on this feat by Captain Tom Moore.

Captain Tom Moore, a 99-year-old British war veteran described by Prince Harry as "utterly amazing", has as of April 19 raised more than 25 million pounds ($31.3 million) for the UK's NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden.
