The U.S. Labor Department reported that 701,000 jobs were lost in March, as a result of coronavirus, shooting the unemployment rate up to 4.4%.
According to Reuters, that is the largest one-month increase in the jobless rate since 1975.
And the unemployment rate for March may not even be totally accurate, because Reuters says that the figures sited were as of early March.
