Five U.S. senators asked Alphabet life science company Verily how they will safeguard user data.

According to Business Insider, the company collects data on its COVID-19 screening website.

To use Verily’s screening service, users must either link an existing Google account or create a new one.

Democratic senators are asking Verily for an alternative method of authentication for individuals.

Some of the senators involved are Cory Booker, Robert Menendez and Sherrod Brown.
