Five U.S. senators asked Alphabet life science company Verily how they will safeguard user data.
According to Business Insider, the company collects data on its COVID-19 screening website.
To use Verily’s screening service, users must either link an existing Google account or create a new one.
Democratic senators are asking Verily for an alternative method of authentication for individuals.
Some of the senators involved are Cory Booker, Robert Menendez and Sherrod Brown.
