Uber is donating free trips and meals to NHS staff The taxi ride-hailing firm and its sister app Uber Eats are supporting the health service's workforce through the coronavirus pandemic by offering 200,000 free trips worth up to £15 each so nurses and doctors can get to and from work.

They will be able to use 10 trips and also receive five free meals.

In a statement, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, said: They are also going to give couriers hand sanitiser and the drivers' service fees will be waived.

As well as the 10 free trips, the company will also supply NHS staff with a £10 voucher which can be used at some convenience shops, and restaurants when they re-open.
