A couple who saved for four years to plan their dream wedding .
Was crushed to find out that the venue they’d picked was shutting down 18 hours before the ceremony was supposed to start.
25-year-old Laura Acton and 32-year-old Adam Woods had been engaged since 2017.
The devastated couple decided to follow through with their honeymoon in Liverpool and on the way to the hotel they stopped by Burger King.
“Adam ordered some onion rings and when he came back to the car, he told me to put them on and said we can still exchange rings," Acton told The Sun.
The venue was unwilling to give a refund, although they did offer to postpone the wedding date or give her a gift card to a different venue.
