PSG PLAYERS PASSING BALL TOGETHER STORY: Paris St Germain have raised over 200,000 euros ($221,320.00) for local healthcare professionals battling the coronavirus outbreak with the release of a limited edition jersey, the Ligue 1 champions have said.

The shirt is a replica of PSG's current home strip but has the words 'Tous Unis' (All Together) where the main sponsor logo usually sits and features badges pledging support to doctors.

The club confirmed on Twitter they had sold out a batch of 1,500 shirts via their online store on Thursday (March 27) night, with all the proceeds going to Assistance Publique Hopitaux de Paris.

Last month PSG sent a message of support when the country was the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.

On February 23, players including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Thiago Silva sported shirts bearing the message "Stay Strong China" in place of their normal sponsor for their Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux, which they won 4-3.

On Thursday (March 26) the death toll in France stood at 1,696.

Paris and its suburbs now account for over a quarter of the 29,000 confirmed coronavirus infections in French hospitals, with almost 1,300 now in intensive care.
