NHS Chief Executive Simon Stephens has announced that he has reconfigured hospitals across the country making 33,000 beds available for Covid-19 patients.
New hospitals are also being built using exhibition spaces in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
From next week staff across the NHS will also be tested for Covid-19, before being expanded to other key workers in the public sector.
