Chinese American community donates thousands of face masks to hospitals in Nevada

Hospitals in Clark County, Nevada, receive surgical face masks donated by Chinese Association amid a worsening COVID-19 pandemic.

The Nevada Chinese Association was able to raise 50,000USD to buy masks for all hospitals near the Las Vegas strip, including Spring Valley Hospital, Mountain View Hospital, and the University Medical Centre.

Footage shows the boxes of face masks being unloaded from a van and wheeled into the University Medical Centre on Wednesday (March 25).

The boxes had an uplifting message printed on them.

It read: ''United we stand!

From Chinese community in support of our medical workers.'' Local nurses in Nevada have voiced out concerns over mask shortage and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
