Lockdown a ‘blunt tool’ without testing

The shadow health secretary says that a lockdown to help prevent the spread of coronavirus is a “blunt tool unless it’s combined with testing in the wider community”.

Jonathan Ashworth called for testing of NHS staff as a priority, adding that it was a “disgrace” doctors and nurses still don’t have adequate personal protective equipment.
