Outbreak, thanks for joining us - i'm dan shaffer.

And i'm najahe sherman.

Coronavirus may not be in north alabama.

But it's having an impact on people here.

Some brides are starting to worry because the deadly virus closed shops in china where dresses are often made.

Waay31's megan reyna went to one bridal shop to ask what it's doing in case things get worse.

Megans says:"say you find the perfect dress, well most likely its manufactured in china, most gowns are.

A reason why this bridal shop is taking precautions to make sure every bride gets their dress on time."

Boyett says:"i'm invested in the business and helping my brides.

It's something new every day and you never get bored."

Taylor boyett fell in love with the search for the perfect dress.

That's why she's worked at madison town and country bridal shop since college.

She's motivated to ensure coronavirus isn't compromising a bride to be's experience.

Boyett says:"we haven't missed a wedding day, a bride has not gone without a gown, so were mainly just preparing for what could be."

Right now she says the retailers they work with are using factories outside of china.

They also have stock held in the u-s.

The concern is the majority of material also comes from china -- and there could be a shortage.

Boyett says:"if things continue yes they will."

Boyett says her clients aren't panicking.

Yet.

Typically it takes about 6 months from ordering the dress to having it altered and ready for the big day.

Boyett says its too soon to tell how much longer it may take now.

It's really just a waiting game.

Boyett says:"we're suppose to go to market in 2 weeks to order our new stuff which is really exciting, but will they be able to manufacture that new product?"

Mr waay31 news.

Its not just wedding dresses.

Prom and other formal dresses are also being impacted by the shutdown of manufacturers in china.
