Crowds gathered at the home of eight-year-old Tazne Van Wyk on Thursday (February 20) after news broke that her body had been found in a drain in Worcester.
A suspect was arrested on Monday in the Eastern Cape Town of Cradock.
The suspect was arrested for violating his parole conditions after he was flagged as a person of interest related to the child’s disappearance.
The 54-year-old suspect is due to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Friday 21 February.
