DANE JACKSON STANDING BY THE WATERALL (2 SHOTS) STORY: American Dane Jackson, the reigning ICF canoe freestyle world champion, successfully went over the 41-metre high Salto del Maule waterfall in the Andes mountains in Chile near the Argentine border recently.

Jackson, who has completed at least six waterfalls over 30 metres high around the world, saw his kayak fill up with water at the bottom of the Salto del Maule fall, so he was unable to paddle away, instead scrambling onto the rocks unhurt to celebrate his achievement.

The waterfall was the second-highest successfully navigated, the highest being by fellow-American Tyler Bradt who went over the 57-metre Palouse Falls in Washington, United States in 2009.
