Sections of China’s Great Wall near Beijing will be closed to visitors beginning Saturday.

The closure is designed to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

State media and the Beijing government office confirmed the closing of the Badaling part of the wall.

The reconstructed Badaling section is among the most visited parts of the wall.

According to Reuters, the virus has claimed the lives of 25 people thus far.

More than 800 cases of the coronavirus have been diagnosed worldwide.
