Russia Receives Four-Year Ban From Olympics Over Doping .

Russia will be unable to formally compete in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

The World Anti-Doping Agency ruled that officials in a Moscow anti-doping laboratory tampered with data.

The tampering included the planting of fake evidence and deletion of files linked to positive doping tests.

The WADA committee's decision to impose a four-year ban on Russia was unanimous, according to an agency spokesperson.

Russian athletes can still compete at major international sporting events without their flag or anthem.

Russia's participation in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is also in question.

FIFA is in contact with WADA and the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations to clarify the extent of the decision in regards to football.
