8 was a day for Camp Fire survivors to come together, share memories and support the ridge a year after the Camp Fire.

Survivors talk Camp Fire recovery and remembrance

### tonight was also about camp fire survivors coming together to share memories and support the ridge.

Action news now reporter laura eng spoke with several people about what tonight meant to them.

### tracy bliss: seeing all the people come back, and the love and the inspirational speeches, and it just lifted me.

It took a lot of strength within herself, tracy bliss said, to make it to the camp fire commemoration ceremony.

I felt banished, i felt so disassociated from my community, my home, sad, so sad.

She lost her home in the fire.

Since then, she says she'd been struggling with anxiety approaching the one year mark.

But she says just seeing familiar faces and what her town just feels like - i feel like i can move forward now, today has truly been a day of healing.

And it's been amazing.

Bob morrow: i'm feeling so uplifted about the town spirit, about the town i live in and all the people who have turned out today.

Bob morrow said his town has come a lot further than he expected.

I'm just totally encouraged by what's been happening the past year and what we see as our future.

Other survivors like davyn hurst, just wanted to be thereto show gratitude to first responders.

I would like to say thank you for keeping everyone that you could safe and keeping my grandpa safe.

Rememberance, recovery resurgence... it's what the night was all about.

I'm surrounded by artwork made by camp fire survivor artists, commemorating the journey that they've been on.

Getting up to this one year mark and documenting where they'll be going from here.

United, that is a good word for paradise, united.

Tonight it was announced the hope plaza memorial will be finished by next year.
