UK's Johnson bids farewell to Bercow on last day as speaker

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid tribute to John Bercow and his parliamentary service on Wednesday as the Speaker of the House steps down after a ten-year term.

Rough cut (no reporter narration).

His ten years in the chair will come to an end on Wednesday (October 30), despite speculation that he may stay on for a few extra days due to the announcement of a pre-Christmas general election.

Bercow, known for his thundering cries of "Order!

Order!" and his scathing put-downs of misbehaving lawmakers, has been the target of fury from Johnson's government, which accused him of breaking rules to let lawmakers force a delay to Britain's exit from the EU.

His replacement is set to be elected next Monday (November 4).
