Hundreds of Madison firefighters and many of their colleagues from around the state are remembering a Madison firefighter who died in the line of duty earlier this week.

Prior to his death garner went to 19 calls while the chief says that isn't a significantly high volume.

The type of calls he responded to were intense, including a birth.
