A holidaymaker claims to have shot footage of a large SHARK fin - swimming up a British river.Stunned Gemma Walters said her children were playing in the water when she spotted the fin going against the tide.Initially she didn't know what it was, but one of her children soon said, 'it's a shark', and Gemma rushed to get her other kids out the water. She then captured the footage, which appears to show a sizeable fin, too big for a dolphin, swimming in the River Teign in Devon.Gemma, from Wolverhampton, is staying at the Devon Valley Holiday Village with her children, partner and extended family. She said: "My two sons Kane and Cole were fully out in the water swimming while other families were crabbing in the water up to their knees."I was walking out to go into the water when I spotted this fin-like shape bobbing about. My first thought was 'that's a shark!'."At first I didn't want to say anything as my kids were in the water and I didn't want to alarm anyone. "It dipped down under the water and I thought it had gone, but then it came back up and it really did look very big."At this point Gemma decided she could hold her tongue no more and asked one of her son's to have a look. She said: "The colour drained from his face and he said 'it's a shark'."I instantly got them out of the water and other people who were there also did the same. "We sat and watched it for about 45 minutes. It was very slowly dipping up and down in the middle of the river."It seemed to be trying to head upstream towards the bridge that connects Teignmouth to Shaldon."Everyone else who was there also thought it was a shark."Gemma has been holidaying in the area for many years but says she has never seen anything like this before. She said: "It was very weird. I was so shocked that at first I didn't qquite believe what I was seeing."It was too big to have been something like a dolphin."We didn't know who to report this sort of thing to but some of the other children there went up to tell the holiday park receptionist."
