Argentina's President Mauricio Macri Eliminate Sales Tax For Basic Food Products

Argentine President Mauricio Macri will eliminate the sales tax of some basic food products.

According to Reuters, those include bread, sugar and milk.

The sales tax elimination will begin immediately and last until the end of the year.

This step is the latest in a series of economic relief measures Macri is testing out.

Macri’s new measure also comes after an upset by opposition candidate Alberto Fernandez in the primary election.
