NO USE ABC, CNN, FOX, UNIVISION, TELEMUNDO, BBC AMERICA, NBC, OR THEIR DIGITAL/MOBILE PLATFORMS.**~ On Friday U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she had a 'good' meeting with U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and described the Congresswoman as 'gracious'.

A reporter asked if Pelosi 'buried the hatchet' with Ocasio-Cortez after their meeting on Friday and Pelosi responded: "I don't think there was ever any hatchet" "We sat down today, we had a good meeting and the Congresswoman is a very gracious member of Congress so we had a very positive conversation about our districts and how we represent them, our country" Pelosi said.

"Again, it's like you're in a family, in a family, you have your differences." Ocasio-Cortez, a freshman lawmaker, has clashed with Republican President Donald Trump and her own Democratic leadership.

Ocasio-Cortez had requested one-on-one time with Pelosi, the top elected U.S. Democrat, to discuss their relationship following weeks of infighting in the party over border aid legislation and other issues.

Trump recently attacked Ocasio-Cortez and three other minority progressive congresswomen, known as "the squad," in tweets that the House of Representatives, under Pelosi's leadership, voted to condemn as "racist comments." While Trump's attack was seen by some as an attempt to divide Democrats, it presented Pelosi with a chance to come to the squad's defense and possibly reset her relationship with the lawmakers, who have sometimes been critical of her leadership.
