Rand Paul 9/11

Republican senator rand paul from kentucky..

Has blocked a bipartisan bill to extend money for victims of the september eleven attacks.

Paul questions the bill's 70-year time frame.

He says the federal government already faces a $22-trillion dollar debt.

And he says..

Any new spending such as the 9/11 bill should be offset by cuts.

The bill has 73 co- sponsors in the senate and easily passed the house last week.

" therefore any new spending that we are approaching any new program that's going to have the longevity of 70 80 years should be offset by cutting spending that's less valuable.

We need at the very least have this debate.

I will be offering up an amendment if the bill should come to the floor.

But until then i will object."

The current law was renewed in 2015 and is set to expire in 2020.

This evening -- the house will vote on an impeachment
