Mueller's Russia report gets celebrity staged reading in New York

A star-studded cast took to the stage in New York Monday to perform a live reading of special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The Mueller report -- making it's way from Washington to Broadway NATSOT FROM PLAY: "10 acts of obstruction." A star-studded cast acted out special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Monday...dramatizing the political investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election...with the narrative clearly focused on President Trump.

NATSOT FROM ANETTE BENNING: "Act 1, President Trump asked the FBI Director to shutdown the investigation into National Security Advisors Michael Flynn." The one-night only show called "The Investigation: A Search For The Truth in Ten Acts" was performed at the Riverside Church in Manhattan..

Narrated by Annette Bening, it included Kevin Kline as Robert Mueller.

John Lithgow as Trump...and earned plenty of laughs.

NATSOT FROM PLAY: "President Trump said he fired FBI Director Comey..." In 10 parts, the piece not only adapted passages from the 448-page Mueller report, but also used excerpts from news conferences and tweets from Trump.

The final act?

- the cast recited parts of the U.S. Constitution describing impeachment.

The reading was organized by Law Works, whose stated aim is to educate the public on the integrity of U.S. judicial systems. The Mueller report has been top of the New York Times paperback non fiction list for eight weeks, and is currently in 17th place on the Amazon best-seller list.

A graphic novel version is also in the works- and will be published in April 2020.
