Trump's UK visit turns to Brexit, Huawei amid London protests

* EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: RESENDING AS VIDEO NOW INCLUDES NEW FOOTAGE FROM TUESDAY JUNE 4 * His first day started with a magnificent ceremonial welcome.

And ended with all the lavish pageantry of a royal banquet at Buckingham Place.

But on day two of his state visit to the UK, U.S. President Donald Trump will get down to business - Likely plunging headlong into Britain's Brexit crisis.

And demanding that the country's next prime minister ban China's Huawei from its 5G networks.

Washington has urged allies not to use Huawei gear, for fear it would allow China to spy on sensitive communications and data.

The British government has so far defied the U.S. on this, and could allow the Chinese company a limited role in building the superfast phone and data networks.

Huawei denies it is, or could be, a vehicle for Chinese intelligence.

The state visit is cast as a chance to celebrate Britain's claimed "special relationship" with the U.S., boost trade links and reaffirm security cooperation.

Gifts will be exchanged: a tea set for Melania and a framed reproduction of World War Two's Atlantic Charter for Donald.

For lunch, the couple will have crab followed by beef fillet, and typical English pudding 'Eton mess'.

But the collapse of Theresa May's premiership over Brexit and Trump's penchant for ignoring the conventions of modern diplomacy have made the trip one of the most unconventional state visits in recent British history.

A giant balloon depicting the president as a pouting baby in a diaper will fly outside the British parliament in London during the talks.

Followed by a "Carnival of Resistance" - expected to be one of London's largest ever protests against a foreign leader.
