France To Restore Notre Dame To Its Original State
CNN reports the French Senate said on Monday that Notre Dame must be restored to exactly how it was before the recent fire damaged it.
The 850-year-old historical landmark was affected by a massive fire on April 15.
Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo has said she is in favor of identical restoration.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has expressed interest in a new, modern update.
Last month, Philippe announced an international architects' competition to rebuild the fallen spire
French President Emmanuel Macron plans to have the structure rebuilt in 5 years.
