May will put possibility of second Brexit referendum to parliament

ROUGH CUT.

NO REPORTER NARRATION.

Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May has announced that she will put the question of a second referendum on Brexit to lawmakers next month, as a condition of voting on her Withdrawal Agreement Bill.

This will be the fourth attempt by May to push her bill through parliament, and May's announcement is an attempt to break the impasse.

A second referendum has been a long-standing rallying cry for anti-Brexit Britons.

"So to those MPs who want a second referendum to confirm the deal - you need a deal and therefore Withdrawal Agreement Bill to make it happen," May said.
