Thieves Are Swiping Luxury Car Side Mirrors

Parking in New York can be tough enough especially when most times, you can barely find any.

????But drivers now have another worry.

????According to the New York Post, thieves have been stealing high tech side view mirrors off luxury cars to just to resell on the black market for a profit.

????The NYPD reported that The thefts have taken place about 19 times over 8 weeks in March and April.????And 14 of them happened on the city’s Upper West Side.????Thieves have stolen mirrors from major luxury car brands like Audi, Porsche, Benz, Lexus, and BMW’s.

??BMW’s more recent models come with mirrors that have built in cameras and are said to be worth between $1,500 & $2,000.??An NYPD spokesperson told The New York Post that the issue doesn’t seem to be city wide.??
