A man thought to be part of Extinction Rebellion sits precariously atop a lamppost on central London's Oxford Street to demonstrate against climate change as police look on from below.

Police arrested dozens of Extinction Rebellion activists on Wednesday (April 24), the tenth day of protests in the capital.

Policemen surrounded protesters at nearby Marble Arch, carrying away some protesters.

More than 1,000 people have been arrested since the protests began.
