Ethiopian Airlines 737 Max Crew 'Repeatedly' Followed Recommended Procedures in Crash

Despite following all guidelines, the crew could not regain control of the jet, according to a preliminary report.

The Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 crashed and killed all 157 people on board last month.

The findings were released Thursday by Ethiopian Transport Minister Dagmawit Moges.

Dagmawit Moges, via statement The jet crashed six minutes after takeoff from Addis Ababa en route to Nairobi, Kenya, on March 10.

It was the second recent crash of a Boeing 737 Max, following a Lion Air crash in October that killed all 189 people onboard.

All Boeing 737 Max jets have been grounded pending a software update.

The update is expected to be approved by the FAA and offered to airlines in the next few weeks.
