Yet The New York Times recently reported that they turned Trump down because they found him too divisive.
The Trump administration wanted a loan to finance work on a golf property in Scotland.
According to Business Insider, they concluded the campaign rhetoric made him a risky borrower.
They also worried that if people found out about a loan, it hurt hurt the bank’s reputation.
