A new report from the New York Times about President Trump’s ongoing saga with the National Enquirer.
??The Times claiming Trump at one point planned to purchase the rights to all negative stories about him, ??That the Enquirer bought and never published.??Michael Cohen, then Trump’s lawyer put the plan together where he would buy stories that could discredit Trump from the tabloid and its parent company American Media.
??It’s worth noting that the CEO of American Media, David Pecker was granted immunity ??from prosecutors in the Michael Cohen fraud case.
??The Times reports that some of the stories go all the way back to the 1980s.
??And former staffers also told the Times that the stories would have quote, “put the Enquirer in an excellent position to dominate coverage of the president’s past scandals.” ??Sources told the newspaper that a lot of the stories have to deal with Trump’s marital troubles, lawsuits, or allegations of cheating at golf.
