((denise valdez)) >> not only do they need to find out who did it... investigators still don't know who she is.

Katie boer was at an event hosted by metro tonight... where officers continue looking for clues to the murder... katie?

((katie boer)) >> dave and denise... they're continuing to look for answers -- but they were also here to help this community heal.

They know that events like this may not bring new leads tonight or tomorrow -- but are hoping that the relaxed environment may trigger tips in the future.

((katie boer)) stuffed animals in the shadow of soot is a haunting reminder... ((michelle bullis/resident -- its terrifying.

Its very very terrifying you kind of have to grow eyes in the back of your head )) ((katie boer)) residents at this condo complex are still trying to make sense of the chilling details behind a young woman's death friday night.

((michelle bullis/resident -- most are scared... people are locking up tighter than usual )) ((katie boer)) tonight -- metro police tried to help them find answers.

((rich fletcher - capn lvmpd -- make no mistake about it.

I have 150 cops at my station that are really ...mad right now.

Really upset because somebody did that to a young lady and think they can walk away?

Not going to happen )) ((katie boer)) metro invited members of liberty baptist church to the neighborhood to interact and build relationships with the residents who live here.

(( richard moses/church admin - liberty baptist we know that when stuff like this happens and there's a crime that its the perfect time for the community to unify together as one )) ((katie boer)) unifying neighbors through hot dogs.... lawn games...even a bounce house.

Outreach that metro says you can expect to see more of around the valley.

((kathy cassell/crime prevention specialist -- its a two-fold approach in that we want the community feel safe again :45 and we want people to know that we're here..

We care... we understand what happened -- but we want to solve what happened too )) ((katie boer)) today police intentionally took a hands-off approach -- focusing on just being present and approachable.

((rich fletcher/capn lvmpd -- every once in a while someone will come forward and say 'hey i was at the event the other night i think i might know something" )) ((katie boer)) police say while tips have been coming in -- the investigation behind who this young woman is remains at a mystery.

((michelle bullis - resident -- she is um..unknown -- but not forgotten )) ((katie boer)) >> back live... i asked metro if they have any new leads on a possible suspect -- they told me they still don't know who committed this crime -- but with tips continuing to come in -- detectives ae determined to solve the case.

They're asking anyone who might know something about this case to call crimestoppers.
