He asked the Central Intelligence Agency whether it spied on Donald Trump Paul wanted to know if the agency monitored Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The senator mentioned that it is illegal for the CIA to spy on Americans.

Paul specifically wanted to know whether British intelligence was asked to spy on Trump.
