County are still alive.

A townhall on that topic just wrapped up at the east hamilton school.

News 12's dorothy sherman joins us live with more.

The hamilton county sheriff joined the hamilton county school superintendent, chattanooga police chief and some school security expert's.

And taking questions from the community on school safety and security in a town hall this afternoon.

Those asking questions included residents, parents, elected officials, and educators.

Questions revolved around what's being done and what can't be done in schools to keep students safe.

One teacher and parent asked about how to improve the communication between teachers and sros if something did happen.

Another person asked about the use of dogs in schools and if they are being used?

Those are just a couple of things asked in the town hall this afternoon.
