Another week gone, and what do we know now that we didn’t do seven days ago? Plenty, by the looks of things – here is just a brief snapshot and a quick rundown of some of the biggest and most interesting stories that have circulated worldwide which you may have missed in the past week!
Snapchat Backlash Continues
Even if you’ve never used the app before, it has surely been hard to miss some of the press surrounding the photo and video sharing platform this week. This has all arisen as result of the app changing the way that users make use of the user interface, or UI. Plenty of regular users aren’t happy – and there’s been a significant bite taken out of the brand value on the stock market as a result.

KFC Runs Out of Chicken!
Another brand that has certainly had better weeks is KFC, with British chains finding themselves completely out of meat following a change of supplier. This has left hundreds of stores with having to close overnight – and for several days – which may take a considerable chunk out of the revenue for many of the franchised chains to be found up and down the country.

Black Panther Pounces on Box Office Records
Following an incredible opening weekend where over $200 million was drawn in at the box office, Marvel’s latest offering has broken all manner of superhero and opening weekend records – and all for the better, it would seem. It’s also reportedly the best-rated superhero movie and Marvel film by critics, making its recent launch an undoubted success.

Trump Believes Teachers Should Be Armed… Or Does He?
In the wake of the Florida school shooting last week which saw 17 lives abruptly taken at the hands of a gunman (who is now facing charges), US President Trump was of course called upon to unite the country. He feels he has been misquoted regarding his opinions on how teachers should be prepared to tackle such potential shootings in future – though he stands by the fact that he feels those teachers experienced in handling firearms should be allowed to carry weapons in the classroom to stop attacks happening in future.
