Gulf states extend coronavirus precautions to bourses, shipping, arcades
Sunday, 15 March 2020 Gulf Arab states expanded measures to contain the spread of coronavirus on Sunday with Oman banning open ship-to-ship transfers with Iranian vessels, Abu Dhabi's bourse closing trading halls and Dubai shuttering cinemas, gyms and arcades.

Three flights carrying Indian passengers will take off from Oman to India on May 30. The special flight will carry Indian passengers for Jaipur, Ahmadabad, and Trivandrum. "We are thankful to Indian government and Indian embassy. We are going Trivandrum through Air India flight," a passenger said. "Because of health issue we are going to India. Indian embassy helped a lot. Thanks a lot," another passenger said. The stranded Indian nationals across globe are being brought back to their home country under Centre's Vande Bharat Mission.

Equity benchmark indices edged higher during early hours on Friday due to gains in index heavyweight Reliance Industries and metal stocks. At 10:15 am, the BSE S-P Sensex was up by 117 points or 0.34 per cent at 34,098 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 67 points or 0.67 per cent at 10,096. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the positive zone with Nifty PSU bank up by 2.4 per cent, metal by 2.1 per cent and private bank by 1.3 per cent.
