"Hurricane Meghan" shakes up Royal Family rules
Prince Harry’s recent marriage to Meghan Markle has not only been upstaged by the news that they are expecting their first child, but also by suggestions that have supposedly come from insiders at Buckingham Palace that Ms Markle may well be setting a few trends as the latest to marry into the British Royal Family. Recent reports leapt upon by the British press suggest that, among other things, the new Royal is bringing about ‘seismic change’ as a result of her unique work ethic.
Reportedly earning the nickname ‘Hurricane Meghan’, according to Metro Online, Markle has already stunned many palace aides with her plans for royalhood – as she has supposedly been sending up to seven text messages a day to assisting staff with suggestions for ways in which she can take on new projects. Reportedly rising at 5am on a daily basis and showing ethic ‘unlike anything palace staff have experienced before’, it appears that she is keen to start blazing a new trail for what is to be expected of modern royalty.
The Duchess of Sussex, to use her official title, had already set tongues wagging as a result of shutting her own car door at an engagement earlier this year, while also opting to wear white at her wedding to Prince Harry – which supposedly earned surprise from the Queen herself. The Duchess is also said to have undertaken a number of ‘missions’ to secretly meet with members of the British public in a charitable fashion.
Fashion, too, is something which appears to be the only wedge driven between the Queen and the Duchess at this time – as it seems that her choices of outfit may have caused tension between Markle and the reigning monarch. In any case, if insider reports are to be believed, she seems to be making big waves in an attempt to modernize her role – which should perhaps be commended.

Harry and Meghan were expected to move into Kensington Palace in the near future, however, their plans appear to have been shorted as a result of the Duke of Gloucester wishing to remain there. It seems that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may need to expand their living arrangements elsewhere in London in the near future – especially as they are expecting their first child in the spring of 2019.
