Serious collision Nr Honiton

Shortly before 1.16pm on Monday 13^th September 2021 police and South West Ambulance were called to a 3-vehicle road traffic collision involving a Honda motorcycle, a Silver Nissan and a 44 tone DAF articulated lorry on the A35 at Wilmington, Devon.

As a result of the collision the motorcyclist a 58-year-old male from Hampshire sustained what were described as life changing injuries and was Air lifted by the Devon Air Ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.

A 73-year-old male local to the Wilmington area and a 33-year-old male from the Exeter area were un-injured.

Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene and completed a proportionate examination of the scene. Once completed the road was re-opened as soon as possible.
