Appeal for Witnesses - Assault, New Road Halifax

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on New Road, Halifax. 

The incident occurred at approximately 4pm on Sunday 18 April when police received reports that a man had been seriously assaulted. 

Officers attended and the victim and suspects had left the area. 

The victim was believed to be assaulted by a large group of youths; one was believed to be carrying a hammer. 

A 43-year-old male, who police now believe was the victim of the assault, was located later.
